Verified Reviewer |No shows, late shows and still having pest problems
Worst follow-up company every. Our concerns were handled over the phone and we were assured someone would come out and reassess our home.
Since then...2 no shows and we are left scratching our heads. This from a national company?? $20000.00 for this kind of a headache...you've got to be kidding me. They better think of a new price for us as it was shabby work and we still have critters in the basement and the attic.
Unenthusiastic workers, a few worked their butts off while the other seemed to sit outside and do nothing. Tarps were not used in the basement during ceiling tile (They also left some up for some reason) removal, hence there is mice *** on everything that we have to hire someone else to clean and sanitize.
Not sure where to go from here but am seriously thinking of getting an attorney involed over breech of contract. Yeah...very upset here.

Do not have a problem because I get service inside and out I have been with this company going. On nine years never had.
A problem with your techs until today. On top of all of that he went through the service so quick I hope I do not have to call you back for reservice

They lie. They lie to get more money. Orkin = Money first; customer somewhere way down the line.
An Orkin rep came to our office to do a free termite inspection and said, 'There are no active termites.' So, we said, 'We're in prevention mode then and can just use baits to prevent them since we don't have any and are in 'Prevention Mode'.' He said baits do not work. He talked for five minutes about how ineffective the bait stations really are and how termites 'just walk right past them.' He insisted that we needed a $6000 trench with poison.
When we received the estimate in an email, he had added bait stations to the quote for an additional $1000. He explicitly wrote, 'for prevention once active termites are gone.' However, there were no active termites. We've had two other estimates from other companies so far, and they both suggested that we just need preventative bait stations and their quotes were a fraction of the cost Orkin quoted. I don't have time to deal with deception and being overcharged, and feel violated by these money-hungry liars.
Look at all of the reviews about billing issues! This is not an honest company.

Rodent in attic
I need 24-hour emergency services while having a current program with the company. I need the removal of a rodent in the attic; it's tearing up my structure!
I have already informed them, but there will be a delay since there is no service until Monday. Pests and rodents don't care about weekends and holidays. I need a more committed company for emergency services and one that does not delay for more than 24 hours. There is damage being done right now in my attic, and I can hear the scratching and ripping of the attic material!
I told them that I'm scared and angry that there's no urgency to remove the rodent. I'm not confident in this company anymore. I have already caught five mice in 24 hours in my yard! I'm setting more traps tomorrow.
This is completely unprofessional and lacks the mission of the company. When is enough...
enough? I believe I'm there!!

They tell u when they first come out, if u see any more within 2 weeks call us back and we will come out for free. Then after the first two weeks.
Before the month is out. I call them again then they Charge me another $90.00. For my first mouth of service. Im so confused.
First off that guarantee is out the window because now yall done got $200.00 and I still have roaches but ur guarantee is out the window. So what they should say is they will come one time within 2 weeks of the first at no charge.
After that there is a fee. Not to mention when they do come the whole house is sprayed and the perimeter of the yard treated in less than 5 mins how u get rid of pest like that my suggestion save ur money and call a smaller business to treat ur house because orkin is not it Im so mad right now but its ok Karma is coming that guarantee word well we will see what a lawyer says about that call Cannadys or somewhere not orkin

Orkin overcharged our card by more than $200 for services not rendered. I emailed management 4 times, but received no response.
I also called corporate.
Horrible customer service. I wonder who else they've overcharged?

Horrible service and overcharged for work they didn't even do
Joke of a company, great sales pitch. Will not give a damn about your pest control issues.
Will not communicate. Will take way more of your money than necessary while making you do all the actual pest control yourself.
Do NOT recommend. Also like to add unnecessary services and tack on fees while NEVER doing what they were called for, half the time not even knowing what they're actually there for.

I'm a Real Estate Agent in the Tulsa Metro. DO NOT do their 'free' termite inspection, as you will have to SIGN UP FOR A TREATMENT EVEN WITH NO ACTIVITY FOUND to get a 'report'.
This is the biggest, grossest SCAM I've ever heard of. Contact another Termite company that WILL GIVE YOU A COMPLETELY FREE INSPECTION AND REPORT!

Orkin wants to encapsulate the crawl space of my home. They have been after us for years, we agreed to do this but my husband was turned down flat and his cred was close to 800 at that time. My Husba
Orkin want $11890.00 to encapsulate my home. We were going to have this done years ago, my Husband was told his credit was not good enough (750 was his score).
At that time. The encapsulation was about $3000.00 less. I understand that the cost of materials has gone up, that not why I'm PISSED. I'm PISSED because ORKIN has caused 95% of this problem.
My Home used to have a Tin foil barrier to cover the beams just like the vapor barrier for the ground, well Orkin told me I had to take that down so they could inspect the beams, the beams were as clean as if the house had just been built this house was built in the late 60's. Since the Tin barrier, I was told I had to install automatic vents for the house and one vent was pulling in air and another was blowing it out. This allowed moist air to be brought into the crawl space and I was told that it was to have standard insolation. With all of the BS that has been done and a few different sales people by the way.
The take down of the original barrier that was installed by Orkin when the termite bond was written, back in the late 60's, then the new Automated Vents, to Insolation. Now super moldy beams because of all the latest and greatest things that Orkin wanted. I am surviving on Survivor's Benefits.
Please help. I am Disabled with out my own benefits.

I have used Orkin since 2016 no problem. This year I had 3 inspection no shows in a row.
The Orkin office scheduled appointment time blocks on three dates in May 2014, of which two were re-schedules but no one such as tec inspectors arrived as scheduled. It was as if my appointments did not matter to Orkin.
I called the local office in Gaithersburg, MD (servicing Branch 303-Rockville MD) after each no show but could not get a resolution visit.
This included one expected call back from the manager that never happened. This was the first year I had a problem of no inspection follow through and communication resulting in a resolution.
I will likely change to another pest control company.

I had them for an entire month they never got rid of any pest, even though they came out to my home two times they never got rid of the pets, and the only thing that they wanted to do was to keep coming out to the house to keep getting payments, but they never done anything to get rid of the pest I canceled services and they sent me a check to stop me from suing

Failed to show up 2 days and no call or text to explain
Poor service, broken promises, failed to show up 2 days with no calls or texts, job took 2 days not one as promised

I made appt with cust rep for between 2/4 that afternoon 4:30 came around no show.
Call cust rep back they forwarded my call directly w/topekas office they said cust rep never sent the appt info. She told me Brandon would give me a call that has not happened!

I never received an email or call notifying me of an appointment that they made FOR ME. After signing up for a contract that would send someone out every 3 months (I was told I could cancel at any time) my husband did just that.
Called and canceled. I had given birth and had a medical emergency. I was hospitalized soon after giving birth and I was extremely unwell. My husband called and canceled the upcoming appointment and said we would call back if we wanted to continue service.
I thought we were done. Nope. They sent out a technician one day when we werent even home. Theyre adamant they sent an email reminder (I didnt see it, but I cant prove it either way) anyway, I didnt think much of it until I got a charge on my card for the full price of service.
I contacted my local branch, to which I heard nothing. No returned call, no email. Nothing. I assumed Id see the charge reversed.
About a month later.. After my mind cleared and I could get back to life as usual since having a newborn and the subsequent health issues, I realized they never did refund me. I reached out again. I was told that I needed to provide proof that the technician didnt service the property, because the branch manager would believe the technician over me.
So I did provide proof, I emailed him a video. That we didnt answer the ring doorbell nor did we answer our front door. That there was no service provided outside the home nor inside of the home. I heard nothing back and that was TWO weeks ago.
Ive tried to contact corporate or an owner to no avail. They continuously put me through to the same branch and the same manager who was so rude to me on the phone, my husband told me not to bother calling anymore.
Ill be following up with my bank in the morning to finally see if they can reverse the charge for the service that I NEVER received. Ive also reached out to neighbors for their ring footage to prove that no one entered my home, nor did we speak to the service technician, and no service was provided that day.
