On 2-5-2024, we serviced our son's house located at 2467 NW 3 Street, Miami, FL 33125. We paid a service fee of $2,426.00 (inv# 26100****) and also $1,340.00 (inv# 26100****) plus insurance.
On several occasions, the salesperson, James Barbosa, was notified and only 4 revisits to the property have been made. We have been told (after he sold us both services mentioned above) that we need to rent the property. Not only have we called him and literally begged for him to service the house under the agreement we have, but I have also used communication via text and left messages in his voicemail. Is this the way Orkin works?
I need to speak to someone who can help us resolve this matter ASAP. Is Jose Jr Rodrigues still the area Manager for Miami? Should I reach out to an attorney? In my world, Orkin stole a total of $3,766.00 from the parents protecting our son's house.
If in reality, we needed to rent, why did he lie to us that all it needed was what James Barbosa sold us and we had to chase him in all ways for him to come back to maintain the service we purchased? Will we be credited? Or is this just another story to your name?

Preferred solution: Credit towards the tent they now say I need and never mentioned in the $3,000. I spent waisting time in remedies .
$21,000 damage
Orkin has been servicing my house for the last 3 years and on different occasions I asked them regarding RAT problems. 2 months ago, brand-new Cadillac CT5 with less than 8K miles was parked down on my driveway by my garage & in 3 days' time RATS had chewed on every cable in the engine at 20K damage.
My insurance did cover 19K & $1,000 was the deductible. I hold Orkin company responsible for the lack of attention to the issue and hold accountable for the deductible.

The company does not stand up to their word and the contact you paid for with them. They make appointments and don't show up.
They lie to customers and say they called and left messages which they never called. If you have an appointment why would I have to call them to see why they never showed up.
Never use Orkin if you have any problems with Pest. I paid over $8,700.00 and I am still having the same problems.never to use orkin

No show for job
Called on 01/03/25 for mouse problem in house. I am new customer.
Appointment was supposed to be between 8am to 10am on 01/04/25. As of noon, no one has showed up. Upon calling costumer service said technician would arrive in 30-45 minutes. Unacceptable.
I canceled the appointment and as well as my account.
Orkin just lost a new costumer. Totally unreliable.

I was employed for 38 years with a family-owned company, which was sold to Orkin, where I worked for 2 years and then quit. My previous customers were not happy, complaining to me about having more problems without seeing any results.
My Orkin team was using the cheapest materials.
My sister's Orkin technician treated a hornets' nest twice, after which my brother-in-law took care of it. They charge more for less time devoted to service.

There were FIVE consecutive no-shows for my appointments. No phone call, no explanation was given.
I had to call to find out what happened EACH TIME. So, that was 15 hours wasted of my personal time because New Hyde Park, NY branch was too incompetent to take care of their long term customers. I was with Orkin since 2016-****.
They need a complete overhaul of all personnel. That branch is a disgrace to Orkin and all of them should be fired including the Branch Manager, Shawn Harkness.

An Orkin driver almost ran me off the road on HWY 220 around 3:30 on 10/17/2024. The car number was 23813.
When I caught up to him, he was texting on his phone. That's unacceptable.

Our basement insulation was great on the second try .after the first guy did not shop vac , spray clean the ledges, missed areas with insulation and left one *** of a mess. The ant control did absolutely nothing, which leads me to believe your products are old and expired. I can set sticky traps myself , the 19 you placed are useless we caught a tiny frog. We asked Zach for metal traps as gophers are the issue, we want to cut down on their population.
Due to no communication with your company, no one sending us copies of the contracts that we have asked 3 times for now. Telling us the treatments that are going to be done and then it being a confusing mess and not being done.
Your workers dont even have the needed equipment !
We gave the second ,awesome basement service man I believe it was Marshawn ,a step ladder and a utility work light!
Derek came to spray, but he thought it was only for our house. He called the owner and the owner said thats fine spray the rest of the buildings and he said I cant. I only have enough chemicals for one building she said have her pick which is the most important and Spray that one. we will be in contact for the other building . We are still waiting for that call!!!
$1,586.99 was taken out of our account!
What a joke highway robbery! I want a refund and cancel my account!
I lost our last local company due to health issues. I will be looking for another small local company as We had no problems with them. They told us what the price would be. They came quarterly. They did a quality job with no problems! If I text them, they immediately responded and it was the same guys.
With you, theres so many different people Ive been told were going to get in touch with me and I never got a call back with any answers!

I made a reservation for Orkin service. Arrival was to be today between 8:15 and 10AM.
At 9:15 I received an email rescheduling to Wednesday. When I called customer service, they said I talked with customer care and they did not know that we don't service my area today but on Wednesdays. I accepted the time change BUT you might consider setting up your computer system in such a way that the call center knows when service for a zipcode is available. I presume many, many reschedulings must take place because one hand in your computer system doesn't know what the other hand delivering the service's schedule is.
That is damaging in the long run to customer retention wouldn't you agree?
Setting up that computer-based coordination would seem to me to be a corporate no-brainer. Someone in your corporate hierarchy must take responsibility for something so basic otherwise you lose customers because that person or persons are not making a computer-based system for the success of your business work.

I have had three instances with Orkin that they will text me with a two hour window of service time for my home treatment and no one showed up in that time frame. When I call customer service to complain, I only get excuses, but no resolution.
I have asked to speak with management and have been promised a return call each time and never getting that call.
My time is also valuable and I don't appreciate sitting home waiting for someone to show up and they don't, no phone calls, just nothing. I do not recommend.

Hello, my name is Hafiza. I am an established customer with Orkins.
I am not happy with the service I receive. I called on Friday; the customer representative was kind and told me to call back on Monday to confirm the cancellation. On Monday, I spoke to another customer representative and she hung up the phone on me when I asked her to speak to her supervisor. I do not want to be charged for September service, and so I would like to cancel my service and she told me it's impossible to cancel.
Please call me back to solve this issue. My contact number is 202-631-****.

I sent a mail for termination of service, but you still continued to bill Discover Card Sept 12,2023 to February 12,2024. I have disputed this claim with Discover Card and they reversed the August payment, but you kept on sending recurrent bills for cancelled and NO service provided .
The service was only for initial treatment of the ants.
The service agreement was NOT marked on service frequency and I did NOT sign the customer agreement for credit card payment authorization. I expect a full refund of $437.50 ($62.50 x 7 months)

Do not contact me anymore. Orkin is a joke.
Orkin has incompetent people who do not care about customers. They also will lie to the customers. A customer asked to speak to the area manager but he is never there. The customer asked for the corporate phone number, but the local branch said they did not have the corporate phone number.
I have had Orkin service for over 20 years.
I will never use them again. I will give Orkin some free advertisement.
